Yeah, so tonight I have been exactly like this little guy...
I really need to get a handle on my snacking, like seriously. I went through candy and a bag of BBQ chips (a small one, but still.) before I realized what I was doing. So I tried a trick I read about, (I can't remember where, so I'm sorry if I'm not giving you proper recognition!) that a spoonful of peanut butter curbs cravings. Well I had two, but it WORKED! So, I'm pretty happy, because one, I quit snacking, and two, hopefully it works in the future! Haha. :)
Working tonight and tomorrow, and it's my last two nights on watch before I start checking out! I'm so excited I could scream! I can't wait to get back to America and start cooking! :)
I took a break from the gym tonight, however my co-workers and I have been playing a dice game (it's super fun and addicting) and the two losers of each round have to do some sort of exercise. So far we've done front planks, lunges, squats, side planks, crunches, push-ups, and V-ups. I've only had to do (both) planks, squats, crunches, and push-ups though. :)
Kind of a fun way to get exercise in on a rest day. My glutes are sooooo sore. My
five miles yesterday, added with my leg workout the day before made standing up and sitting down painful. We won't even mention the stairs! I'm trekkin around like a grandma! :)
Anyways, I don't have much else to say, but I hope everyone has a great day!! :)
I hear ya with the snacking....since I had my fitting i'm determined to get on track for 3 months-I can do it...only 3 months...bahahaha
ReplyDeletePeanut butter totally helps! Probably cause it has lots of good fats & calories to keep me full. Plus, it's just so good. It's basically the perfect food.
ReplyDeleteHad heard the pb trick - gotta try that one!
ReplyDeleteAt least the piggy is cute! :) I have a snacking problem too...
ReplyDelete5 miles?!?! YAY! So proud of you Katy!
ReplyDeleteTotally hear ya on the snacking!! And I am so so excited for you to get back to the states too! and for you to be reunited with the boy :) (does that happen when you get back? I sure hope so!)
ReplyDeleteI've been a snack monster too lately! I love the idea of the gambling/exercise game you guys had!! What a fun way to exercise. That might have to be a new idea for girls night!! Yay for almost being back in America!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog and I love it. I am a total snackaholic. I snack all the time. I finally got in the habit of crunching on baby carrots. It usually helps me realize I am not hungry and it totally takes care of that crunch factor I need with snacks :-) I can't wait to be back to read more on your blog!
ReplyDeleteInteresting about the peanut butter! I'll have to try that. I'm definitely a snackaholic!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of the PB snacking trick, but I should try it. I've been snacking like a crazy fool lately! GAH! And you're almost ready to come back to the States!! How exciting!! :D
ReplyDeleteHa. I eat about 1000 spoonfuls of peanut butter daily. I think I crave peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteSome people try gum. I have had heard that works-but you would need about every single flavor known to mankind.
Ooh what a great idea to make exercising part of a game! I think I totally need to incorporate this into things Christopher, Tony and I do together! :)
ReplyDeleteohh good tip! maybe it's the protein? i find that when i'm working out a lot (and eating lots of protein for recovery) i have less of an appetite and crave junk food less.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds soooo fun! Hey, whether you lose or win in the game, you still gain something good from it! :P I love sore glutes hehe
ReplyDeleteWhat are the rules to the dice game, because that sounds AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteI've tried the peanut butter thing..it only leads to me eating half a jar of peanut butter. ha.
ReplyDeleteThat game sounds like fun!
a cup of hot peppermint tea works too!!!! <3
ReplyDeleteI'm a snack machine and it helps me 9/10 times
