Three Tangent Tuesday

It's my favorite day! I love TTT!!

Also, I'm just in a super-duper giddy awesome mood. It's finally March! Do you know all the awesome things that happen in March? Daylight Savings (more sun!), Spring is here!, I have a lot of my friends birthdays, including the lovely Jenn, my soon to be neighbor!! Plus, I GET TO COME HOME! What a great month. I've been in such a great mood all day. Tonight I'm going to see the movie Due Date at the base theater, and tomorrow I'm watching Tangled!! I'm really excited. Anyways, on to TTT!

Three Tangent Tuesday!

+I am obsessed with Disney. No, seriously. Obsessed. Especially anything Princess related. My two favorite Princesses are Ariel and Tiana. But I also love Belle, Jasmine, and Sleeping Beauty. I think the only Disney movies I've ever seen that I didn't like were Snow White ( it's her voice. For some reason it's like nails on a chalkboard. If I watched it on mute with subtitles, I'd be in Disney heaven), Dumbo, Bambi, the first two Toy Stories (I know. Everyone thinks I'm crazy, but I wasn't a fan. I love the third one, though.), and UP. I think I just hate watching sad Disney movies. I mean, COME ON. I cried in the first ten minutes  of UP. Not cool, Disney, not cool. But anyways, I digress. I am so in love with Disney, and I don't think I will ever grow out of it. Thank God Shane also loves Disney. He may or may not have proposed there... But that's a story for another day!

+My favorite place on Earth is Sea World.  Yeah, I love Disney, but my heart really belongs right down the road at Sea World. My dream job would be to work as a trainer at the Shamu tank. Orcas (killer whales) have been my favorite animals for as long as I can remember, and the thought of working with them every day makes me smile. Alas, it will not happen, but I am just as satisfied to visit them as often as I can. I'm beginning to think that though my first love will always be Jacksonville, maybe Orlando is where I truly belong... Haha.

+Baby Bro is adopted. Yup. My mama and daddy did not decide to procreate 17 years after their first-born arrived in this world. Baby Bro was born into the family by a relative, and through circumstances far too private to divulge on a public blog, he ended up on our doorstep and in our arms ironically enough the weekend I was to graduate high school. He was 5 weeks old, and emotionally scarred. Through constant love and professional help (for motor skills and speech and therapy) he has turned from an infant with no expressions or emotions (what baby won't even cry?) into a beautiful little hellion who is going to make my parent's lives very interesting for the next 11 years. I love him so much, and wouldn't trade him for the world. Even when he doesn't mind me. Which is often.

Yes, his shoes are on the wrong feet. But he was so proud b/c he put them on himself!

Well, that's this week of TTT! I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do!! Have a great Tuesday everybody!!

  9. I love Disney too! Especially princesses ;) there is a half marathon you can run through the Disney parks in a princess costume - doesn't get much better than that!

  10. I looooooooooooooooooooove DISNEY! And Princesses! I so wish you could make it to the princess party this summer. We'd have a blast! But I totally understand needing to spend time with the boy. :)

YES! I totally agree about Snow White! Her voice drives me nuts. That's the only Disney movie I just really refuse to watch. I wasn't a fan of Dumbo either. But I did love Up even though I cried the whole movie. I saw it while dealing with a death in our family and it actually sort of became part of the healing process. Such a precious movie.

Also, you and little bro are so precious together. I love the twins shot at the end!

  11. One of my boyfriends sisters works for Disney! She started through their college program and now works there whenever she has time throughout the year (a month during the summer, a few weeks here and there around Christmas, etc.) She is "friends" with the characters if you get my drift :) SHE LOVES IT!

  13. That is so neat that your baby brother has changed your life so much and that your family has changed his. He is so cute! My little brother is 13 now, but these pictures remind me of when he was 6. :)
