I noticed everyone seems to be in the giving spirit lately, so I figured I have some spare deployment monies to
So I'm hosting my very first give-away ever! Woo-hoo! Here is the swag...
Well. Actually that's my swag that I bought today. But you will win:
+ Nike + iPod. This is a nifty little tool that I have heard about that tells you your distance, time, pace, and calories burned with every workout. You can also sync it with Nike's Website to see your runs, set goals, challenge others, and more. I know it's not as accurate as a satellite GPS watch, but it's also not 300-500 dollars... In fact, that was the best news! Usually these suckers go for $29.99, but the Navy Exchange here on base sells them for $19.99 (and everything in the exchange is tax free.) Score!
+ Three GU gels. Flavors will vary between Chocolate Outrage and Blueberry Pomogranate (Roctane). Because that's all they have in stock. Haha. And those run out fast, so I will be making another trip today, to get them before they are gone, and I have to wait another 2 months for them to be in stock. Oh wait. I only have 27 days left!! Sorry. Off topic.
So, you can enter by doing all of these options (please leave a different comment for each.):
+Become a follower (or already be one) of my blog. This is the only manadatory entry.
+Link this page to your blogs.
+Tweet/FB about this giveaway.
+Leave a comment telling me if you like the Nike + iPod system, and why. If you have never tried it, tell me if it sounds interesting to you..
+ Leave a comment telling me your favorite GU flavor!
Winner will chosen randomly Friday, February 25.

ReplyDeleteI am a follower :) Nice to meet you fellow previous Hawaii girl! :D "buying your friends" that is funny. Nope we were here before the give away =)
ReplyDeleteThe nike + ipod set up sounds interesting, actually the $29.99 is what sounds the best. I've considered a gps (gigantic watch thing!) but really don't think I run enough yet to justify it.

ReplyDeleteIve never tried the Ipod system but my friend has it and he LOVES it! I think it would be so cool to be able to track everything during my run!
ReplyDeleteNever tried GUs before but anything with chocolate in the title sounds perfect to me!!
ReplyDeleteYour blog's in my google reader :)
ReplyDeleteI've tried it with my old shoes - I had the nike + wristband, which recorded my mileage and pace on a watch type thing. It has a USB part to it, which unsnaps, to put in the computer for a full report of my run. It was awesome!
ReplyDeleteI've only had a few Gus before, and I don't remember the flavors. I like to fuel with jellybeans occasionally - hah, pure sugar.

The Nike system sounds awesome. I really need to set goals for myself because I'm gonna start doing 5k's soon.

And my favorite would be... blueberry pomogranate. I like the color blue and it's just awesome not to have the boring old black or white i always have.

ooh, awesome! I just got a new ipod, and have been using the pedometer feature to try to make sure I stay active enough, but I would love to try the Nike system! I'm trying to train for a 10 k (it's in October, but I'm not really to the running very long stage yet) for my first race ever, and this would be really helpful!
ReplyDeleteI've only ever tried the vanilla gu flavor, and it was pretty good!
